Compass Puerto Rico

Hi!

To begin with, I have selected among the places I have photographed, the Ruinas in Aguadilla.  This site was originally a lighthouse and was called Punta de Boriquen.  It is located in Aguadilla, on the former Ramey Air Force Base.  This Lighthouse was built in 1889 by the Spanish Government.  With the opening of the Panama Canal in 1914, this was said to be “the most important aid to navigation on the route from Europe to Panama”.  But sadly on 1918 it was struck by a hugh earthquake that hit the west side of Puerto Rico and was destroyed.  Now it has become a very beautiful tourist site, located right next to the beach.

I had the pleasure of working with an old friend of mine, Isamar Feliciano, for this model photoshoot.  We met some time ago when I was in High School, and she was more than thrilled when I asked her if she would help me out with this shoot.
